Obama's Inauguration Ceremony: in 11 days, 11 hours, 16 minutes, 59 seconds

The latest on the battleground states

Chuck Todd of MSNBC shows how Obama is poised to take states Kerry lost in 2004 - and has a good chance of winning in certain fiercely Republican states, too. And it’s not all down to the economy (stupid):

As he shows at the end: if the election were held today, Obama would sweep the board with a massive 364 electoral votes to John McCain’s 174. Cooom onnnnnn! As we say in Britain.

(Note 1: Am loving MSNBC’s mapping technology, but they really need to sort out their cutaway camerawork.

Note 2: Also love how Chuck Todd says “18 electoral votes, or 1 Ohio”. Is ‘an Ohio’ a new unit of measurement? “How many votes did you get?” “Two and a half Ohios”. “Wow, that’s nearly a California”.)
