Oh, don’t know about that top line, minus Renee Fleming. Bono!! There’s no defence on that one I’m sorry. Agree with the rest of the bold though.

Raymond IV? Jennifer Nettles? Heather Headley? WHO!?! Or am I sounding like a High Court Judge?

Btw Kids In The Hall Ha!! I’d almost forgotten them. Oh Happy days ;-)

    Enjoy.

I shall defend my love of Bono/U2 til the cows come home. that said, I doubt he’ll perform solo. maybe he’ll just be giving a speech.

re. Renee Fleming, I’m afraid I’m simply not much of a fan of opera or classical singing. there, I said it. ;-)

(you don’t sound like a High Court judge – you sound like a Brit.)

Raymond IV, that is Usher’s full name. He does have a father! The Concert is to show the diversity of just not the president, but all people. Country, R-n-R, R&B, folk, happy, sad and just plain bad! But I know one thing – THIS COUNTRY ROCKS, no matter what’s going on!

  4. Andrea Says:

    yes I know what you mean – it’s a truly diverse line-up. quite a gig. :-)

  5. Tara Says:

Heather Headley is an R&B and gospel artist known for her broadway performances (Lion King, Elton John’s Aida) and tours with Andrea Bocelli from time to time. One word that describes her talent: AMAZING.

  6. Andrea Says:

I just read your comment out to my host here in DC and turns out she’s a Heather Headley fan too! :-) thanks for the heads-up, Tara.

  7. Today, I will mostly be watching Springsteen, Hancock, Taylor and Wonder | England for Obama Says:

[...] will undoubtedly change today, however – as a) I will be entering the thick of it, to b) go to the massive concert being held on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It kicks off at 1.30pm our time (for the duration [...]

Unfortunately, this “free” concert, being performed on public grounds is only being broadcast by HBO (only if you have cable or sat TV). I suppose PBS may aquire rights (when fundraising looks profitable)?
