Obama’s speech on the economy
Incredibly, this is actually his first speech since winning the election. He gave it today at the George Mason University in Virginia, and it basically urged Congress to support his stimulus package (by scaring the bejeebus out of us all again).
Money quote: “This crisis did not happen solely by accident of history or normal turn of the business cycle… We arrived at this point due to an era of profound irresponsibility that stretched from corporate boardrooms to the halls of power in Washington.”
