Jon Stewart and Keith Olbermann give us the good news
Just so appropriate that Jon Stewart and Keith Olbermann were two of the men who got to announce that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States. Take a look below – and spot how Stephen Colbert seems to be trying to stop his tears when he takes off his glasses and puts his finger to his eyes.
I just love all these men. They have been beacons of light, sanity and truth (as well as brilliant entertainment and great journalism) during the Bush years and this election:

Ah poor Stephen, that was such a touching moment. So cruel of Jon Stewart to say I’m just kidding. But so brilliant how they left a good deal of time for the audience to react to the moment. Sadly More4 made a complete balls up of it by editing it to 45 mins. FX thankfully showed the full hour, and didn’t feel the need to add bleeps for mild expletives.
I think also your love and devotion of Keith Olbermann, even when he wears that dodgy Brown Stripe suit, is starting to rub off on me. I thought he was great Tuesday night, simply let the pictures speak for themselves. He has been needed these last few years to hold the right-wing media accountable for their actions. The tide is definitely turning.

yeah, I was just about to post the Keith Olbermann ‘man on the moon’ clip.
I too love the way Jon and Stephen (I think we can call them Jon and Stephen, can’t we?) simply said nothing and just let it sink in for everyone, that glorious moment.
Keith really is great. slightly nuts at times… but always great. and so very, very necessary.

Oh I think we can call them J and Steve now can’t we? It will be interesting how they go now, without a cowboy in the White House. This is a Presidet who’s not going to give them much material. I think Stevie C will be better off. I can’t wait to see what they do with the Africa issue though. I have a horrible feeling that woman is not going away.
Thanks for the comment on the pie, sadly not homemade. By the way if you click on the site, you may like what’s up at present, hopefully.

you got the jazz for barack badge!!!! how brilliant is that?! haha. I really must get on and order mine.
yes, I think you’re right about Colbert – he can rail against Obama, taking the Fox and Republican stance. Stewart… well, that will be more interesting.
I read a great anecdote about him the other day. some reporter asked him if he would be sad to see the end of the George Bush presidency because of the lack of material it would mean. Stewart just looked at this idiot and said: “I have children”.
