Slightly-off-topic Friday post:
Sarah Palin is Maria Von Trapp

Friday, September 26th, 2008

Sarah Palin has confidence in her readiness.

Some would say, in fact, that she has confidence in confidence alone.

That’s right - Sarah Palin is Julie Andrews! And let us all hail Sarah’s anthem. The lyrics are spookily pertinent - and look! She even walks up to the White House at the end:

All that’s missing are Trig, Bristol, Willow, Piper, Track, Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl Palin.

England for Obama needs your help!

Wednesday, September 17th, 2008

This site needs you! As Lord Kitchener would have said, had he been recruiting in the 21st century.

We need contributors to post news stories and links/write opinion pieces/generally help to keep England For Obama full of the latest news and commentary. I’m afraid you won’t get paid, but you will get the knowledge that you tried to make the world a better place before you had your breakfast.

So if you’re an Obama supporter living in England (or are English living in America) and know a bit about blogging software, please contact us here. If you’re a McCain-loving, Belgium-dwelling technophobe, it’s probably not for you.

Recent Stagnation

Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

Hi everyone,

I’m writing this post out of the usual context in order to convey my apologies for the current status of the England for Obama web site.

Readers may have noticed that the site hasn’t been updated for almost a month. A month where Obama took a break and it appears this site did too!

I recently took a 3 week break to get married and honeymoon in the USA. Ironic as it sounds I was actually in Hawaii the same week as when Obama took his well needed vacation.

Unfortunately due to my current status as sole-contributor to this site it suffered from my lack of input.

For this reason I again urge any English based Obama supporters with a savvy tong and time on their hands to contact me about contributing to the site.

This site can only be sustained by a multitude of writers so if you have the drive to help out then please drop me a message.

In the past month Obama has taken a campaign vacation, chosen a VP and overseen the organisation of the Democratic Conventions which started today.

If you feel as if you could have covered these events with passion and wit then please, get in touch.

Obama still needs our support.
