Obama's Inauguration Ceremony: in 12 days, 22 hours, 22 minutes, 16 seconds

Barack Obama is Mr Popularity

John McCain kept telling us that he hasn’t been voted Miss Congeniality - but Barack Obama certainly has been. The final pre-election poll by Gallup shows that:

Obama’s favorable rating is 62% - the highest that any presidential candidate has registered in Gallup’s final pre-election polls going back to 1992.

Gallup’s new poll also puts Obama at 53% and McCain at 42% among likely voters.

    Hello, UK,

Just wanted to touch base and thank you for your support of Obama. I’m an American and an Obama supporter, and we’re doing our level best for our candidate. Hopefully, by Tuesday night we will have turned the corner on the last eight terrible years of President Bush and Co. for the sake of a better United States.

thanks GB - our thoughts are all with you! :-). it looks like you will indeed be turning the corner - and it won’t just be for the sake of a better America, but also a better world. hallelujah.

  3. GB Says:

Thanks, Andrea. I was also thinking “for a better world”, but after eight years of having Bush run roughshod over other countries, I’m careful about sounding even remotely arrogant about our country’s place in the world. I’ve always been proud of our country, but largely ashamed of our president for the past eight years.

I look forward to the rest of the world once feeling good about us.

    G

yes, imagine how incredible it’s going to be to have a President and Vice President you’re really proud of, two men who are real role models… amazing, after the Bush years. Obama really is a once-in-a-generation kind of politician. we are all really quite jealous of you, I think! ;-)
